February 2010

From Mike's Desk:

February – March is cool-season vegetable gardening time in the high deserts of Arizona. (Most of Gila county and nearby areas.)

We currently have onion, garlic and potato seeds ready to plant, plus a complete, constantly upgraded seed rack with cool-season vegetables. Lettuce, peas, broccoli, cabbage, beets and carrots are just some of the selections available for your cool season gardening pleasure.

If you want to grow your own tomatoes or hot peppers from seed, now is the time to start them indoors. Keep them indoors for approximately 8 – 10 weeks so they will be ready to plant in early April when the temperatures are warmer.

We have a large selection of hot peppers and tomato seeds for you to utilize. If we do not have what you want, we can order specialty seeds for you. We also carry organically grown seeds and many heirloom varieties.

We have over 35 years nursery experience, and we can help you successfully grow the vegetables of your choice.
